Let's start with some happy news. Well, now I've got my own laptop. Finally! Albeit it being a hand-me-down from ibu, I'm still grateful nonetheless. Now I can be the geeky spectacle-wearing gamer that I am, all in the comfort of my room. No more late-nights-lasting-into-the-early-morni
Thank you to all my beautiful darling girls and many others who showed their concern towards Hanan's accident. We are deeply grateful and honestly humbled and touched to have such beautiful people like you in our lives. Things are now starting to look up. Hanan is slowly getting over his driving phobia and insyaAllah it'll be lifted off totally (soon). Damage control and payment wise, Alhamdulillah, there were many who lent their aid. You girls were there for me. For him. For us. You girls stretched your arms and pulled us out of our muddle even before we had to shout for help. For that and the all the genuine concern, support and love you've lent us, we are truly thankful. I love you girls. Please continue staying in our lives and leaving your imprints in our hearts. On my part, I will be honoured if you'll keep our presence in your lives too, 'cause I sure as hell won't want to give up these wonderful friendships and bonds we're been building. (:
Poor Phoofie (pronounced as Fufi) passed on somewhere around Maghrib time just now. It was only last Sunday that we bought him at Yishun pet shop and brought him home. We knew his end was coming 'cause ever since he was bought, he refused to eat or drink. Kak Sarah's trip to the vet did nothing 'cause the vet couldn't detect any particular disease that he might be suffering from. The once active chubby furryball became skinny and easily lethargic. Into the third day of his stay at Hanan's house, his suffering came to an end. Although it was only 3 days that he was with us, we were truly fond of him and hearing the sad news from Cik Normah (we were at vivo) just now did shook us up a lil. Cik Aziz will be bringing his carcass along to the office and burrying it somewhere there tomorrow. ):
Aite, enough with the sentimentalities. (hmm funnily enough, I've suddenly lost my train of thoughts right after typing the former paragraph.) Never mind then, I'll post some raya pictures. This will (hopefully) lift the emo fog off me. ha ha.

Khairun has got the coolest camera ever!
Since there's way too many raya pictures, I'll forgo uploading those. Instead, here are some snapshots of fana's and yours truly's faces. That said, i'll be more considerate and put them under the cut. So click the link only if you're truly bored ok. haaa. POST EDIT: crap! lj cut is giving me an attitude, Hmpf. Guess there's no concealing our redundant faces. Haha bear with them then!

M: "Fana you look young in this photo!"
F: "Oh yeah. Then I should do my shocked expression from now on 'cause it makes me look younger."
F: "This pic not too bad. It doesn't look like you."
M: "What are you trying to say eh?!"
M: "Lets do animal faces."
F: "Ok. I wanna do the pig face."
HAHA!
F: "Take my cute cat face."
M: "Eh this pic quite cute."
F: "See I told you I'm cute."
M: "Fana, do a duck face"
F: "Wah my lips so painful."
M: "I wanna do cross eyes."
F: "Ok, this one quite good."
One of my many attempts at crossing the eyeballs.
F: "Nice pic for a candid."
M: "But it doesn't look candid."
F: "Hmm ya, actually it looks kinda forced."
M: -_-
M: "I wanna strangle myself with my hair."
F: "Haha you look like you don't have neck."
F: "Take a picture of me with your book."
M: "Ok I wanna do a drunk pose."
F: "Maisarah, this one can do album cover. You can write the cd title at the space there.
M: "Haha right. Perasan."
F: "Ha ha."
M: "Eh u kissed my book! Now i have to sertu it!"
F: "Woi my mouth is murni(?) ok!"
F: "Why your face wanna act vogue?.."
M: "Where got? I just didnt smile what."
F: "Oh ok."
M: "Why your face wanna act cute?"
F: "Where got? I'm cute what."
M: "It's so difficult to take mirror shots."
F: "You have to place the camera lower."
M: "Oh ic. Wah quite nice."
F: "See!"
M: "Fana, look in the mirror. I wanna take your reflection.
Eh garang nampak."
F: "That's my vogue face la!"
M: "Eh this one quite cool ar!"
F: "Eh ya!"
M: "Take my picture on the escalator."
F: "Smile!"
Corny and goofy as we are, I appreciate that we're pretty much the same people still. Talking to you always cracks me up. We never change do we? Same ol' dodos like how we were back in 1999.
Remember, don't be so lazy ok. Even makciks are more active. Haha okok, me too. I know.
Lets keep to our oath. InsyaAllah we can do it!
Loves loves. AWWW. :P

Of all the pictures taken during the 1st two days of raya, this emerges as my favourite. Discounting the fact we were all bare-faced, unglamly dressed and wearing mamat's mat-ish shades, it exudes genuine gaiety to me. We girls were all giggly and ditzy, posing around with umar as our (unwilling but forced lest mairah sits on him) photographer. hehe. even the usually glum irah and camera shy mairah joined in. check out mairah's pout! that's a one-time thing.
Tomorrow and Sunday, we'll be raya-ing away with all five families in tow. Can't wait! confirm kecoh! raya this year has been quite happening. it's my best collection to date. might pile up more with all the house visits this weekend. INSYAALLAH. takmo jealous kay nadz, shafa and mada :p
Locations: West Coast Park, Chinatown, City Hall

it's a whole mullet gone wrong story.
HAHA!
well.. great day. definitely great to be single. great.

16th May
a most unfortunate day. suffice to say, i wasted my effort going 'round town. missed the girls for lunch at fishnco. tardiness and the handphone-age got to me. could have gone to the zoo with kitarokkers or could have earn some bucks at Kumon. howells.
17th May
belated Mother's Day celebration. bought flowers and met ibu at her office. cabbed to Arab Street. lunch at Amirah's Grill. walked around the area. scouted for some potential raya apparels. starbucks at Suntec City. walked around somemore. went down to Esplanade. enjoyed the night breeze by the river. fondue at Chocz. i insisted for a picture with PRamlee the musical poster since i wasn't able to go for the actual performance ): cabbed home. we girls earned ourselves blisters on the feet and aching legs. but it all paid off 'cause we managed to make ibu happy for the day. really glad she loved the presents we got her too. (:

Alhamdulillah

Nothing perks you up like good food aye? (:

Mai: Oh really?
Nan: Yea. My mom's cousins are twins.
Mai: Ohh i see. I have a high chance of conceiving twins too.
Nan: Huh? Why would YOU have a high chance?
